Prospective students who are EU nationals and those from non-EU countries that have bilateral treaties with Romania (Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Macedonia, Guatemala, The Vatican, Honduras, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Salvador, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, USA, Uruguay, Venezuela) do not need to issue a Visa to enter Romania. For the issuance of the Long-stay Visa for Studies (D/SD), students must submit the following supporting documents together with their application:- The acceptance letter from the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports, stating that the applicant will undeniably attend a daily program of education;
- Proof of funds for paying the tuition fees for at least one year of studies;
- Proof of funds to support oneself for accommodation and sustenance amounting to at least the minimum net wage in Romania per month, for the entire period specified in the visa;
- A criminal record certificate or another document of the same legal value;
- Medical insurance for the entire period of the visa validity.
