The 6-Year Undergraduate Medicine Programme

Students can study an undergraduate 6-Year medicine route and a graduate 4-Year medicine route for a Doctor of Medicine (MD) qualification.
Undergraduate 6-Year Programmes
This programme consists of the following medicine study routes to choose from:
- This programme is structured into pre-clinical and clinical years.
- Students study partially pre-clinical modules online and the remaining years in Georgia.
- For the final three years, students undertake clinical rotations and lectures.
- During the pre-clinical years, students attend lectures, seminars and laboratories studied partially online and the remaining years studied at the Georgian campus.
- This programme is divided into pre-clinical and clinical years.
- During the pre-clinical years, students complete a BSc degree in any accredited university (be it in the UK, the EU, or a non-EU country) in a science-related field such as Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Nursing etc.
- Throughout the Summer, students spend two months completing medical modules at the NVU campus in Georgia or online.
- During the clinical years, you can choose to complete your clinical rotations and lectures in the UK, depending on availability.
- Clinical rotations are completed at Georgian hospitals and medical facilities.

The 4-Year Graduate Medicine Programme

- New Vision University offers a four-year medicine pathway for graduate students that commences in the third year of the undergraduate programme.
- Applicants are eligible if they hold a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in a science-related field such as Biomedical Science.
- As part of their application, candidates need to submit analytical transcripts of previously completed courses and there are no entrance exams.
- Students study partially online.

The 5-Year Undergraduate Dentistry Programme

- Students studying undergraduate dentistry are qualified with a globally-recognised degree in Dentistry.
- Studies are completed partially online.
- Part of the pre-clinical modules studied online and the clinical years are made up of clinical modules studied in dental clinics and practices in Georgia.
- For Years Three to Five, clinical modules are studied with lectures, dentistry training and clinical rotations at dental clinics and practices.

The 4-Year Graduate Dentistry Programme

- The NVU graduate dentistry programme is a competitive, accelerated degree.
- Candidates for the programme are required to hold a science-related Bachelor’s Degree (BSc, such as biomedical science) and submit academic transcripts to apply.
- Studies commence in the second year of the 5-Year Undergraduate Dentistry Programme.
- During the preclinical studies, students study partially pre-clinical modules online.

How is the Online Personalised Study Programme offered?

- Students at New Vision University can receive flexible learning to suit their academic needs through the online study option.
- The online learning option includes live-streamed classes, video lectures, question banks and more.

What Do the Lectures Entail?

Medicine
- The teaching will include hands-on experience in medical practicing equipment and training in measurement, reading, and evaluating results.
- Modules comprising practical training to ensure competency in medical machines and equipment.
- It includes various mandatory training with equipment as resuscitation and anaphylaxis management equipment.
Dentistry
- Lectures give dentistry students the chance to get hands-on experience with dental equipment while also providing training on how to measure, read and evaluate results.
- Lectures will also offer practical training and up-skilling in operating the machines.
- Lectures are also taught in clinical modules e.g. dentistry procedures (root canals, fillings, crowns, root canals and managing comprehensive dental care).

Admission to New Vision University

Applicants must provide the following information:
- An application which includes the following details: bio, education history and course for which you are applying.
- A copy of your secondary education results with subjects studied.
- Documents from your home country confirming that you are authorised to study in Georgia.
- Two small photos of 4-5cm.

Admission Documents for Clinical Rotations

You will need to provide the following:
- Valid immigration status (i.e. you should be able to stay in the UK without a Visa)
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
- Medical Screening (this is a report with vaccinations etc.)
- Occupational Clearance (i.e. a local GP will need to issue a letter that the student is fit to study)
- Register with a local GP practice
- Indemnity Insurance
- An up-to-date CV
- Valid transcript from previous years
- Logbook
- Nametag
- Prove financial capability (bank statement or a letter from parents)
- UK address and contact details
- The name and contact details of your next of kin
