+What does the Veterinary course involve?

The veterinary course is taught entirely in English.
The course lasts over five and a half years culminating in an internship semester in affiliated clinics.
The first three years focus on the fundamentals of pre-clinical and para-clinical skills. Thereafter, the courses focus moves to clinical practice.
In the third & fourth year, there are mandatory summer practices where students must complete clinical training internships.
In year five, the curriculums focus shifts to species-oriented training giving students the opportunity to work in mobile clinics and gain practical experience.
In the final year, students must complete an internship and pass the state exams.
Upon successful completion of all requirements, students are awarded a master’s degree and the qualification of Veterinarian, recognised in all EU countries and worldwide.
There is great demand for veterinary specialists in Bulgaria so this can be a great option for some students.

+Admission to the Forestry University – Sofia

Candidates must submit the following documents:

An application form or a letter of application with a short CV specifying the programme for which the candidate is applying.
Foreign citizens are required to submit a certified translation of their secondary education diploma and include a supplementary document detailing their attendance record, grades, and full academic record.
A document issued by a recognised body certifying the applicant’s eligibility to continue their studies in higher educational institutions from the country where the candidate has completed secondary education.
All applicants are required to submit a medical certificate issued no earlier than a month before the application and get it validated by the relevant authorities in the country to which they are applying.
All applicants are required to submit a photocopy of their identity card(s) or passport(s) showing clearly their country of origin, date of birth, and name written in the Latin alphabet.

Sofia is the capital and largest city in Bulgaria with a population of 1.2 million.
After WWII Sofia was under Soviet Control and it wasn’t until 1990 that the country was granted sovereignty.
Some of the major attractions in the city include the National Gallery of Bulgaria and the avenue “Tsar Osvompontitel”, where many of the literary libraries of Sofia are located.
